Drucey on the PCT 2022 Mexico to Canada

 Day, -4

I’m going on another very long hike. This one much longer than the others. For those of you who haven’t heard me talking about it already I’m going to hike the Pacific crest Trail which runs over 4100 km from
Mexico to Canada.

I think I’m just about packed and just coming to terms with the reality that the next 4 1/2 months it’s going to be me walking over 20 miles a day and sleeping in a tent. It will be amazing I’m sure some very high highs and some very low lows both physically and metaphorically. I can’t wait.

I am doing this as a fundraiser for the UNHCR to support refugees. At a time when I’m walking for pleasure there are millions of people who are on a journey fleeing their homes looking for safety and a new place to bring up their family with dignity and they need our help. Your contribution to the UNHCR can make a big difference to the health, education and well-being of refugees fleeing conflict around the world. it is particularly acute at this time in history and so important  for us to be looking after refugees.you can donate or share the link here.

I hope you can help me raise money and will enjoy following along with my journey to Canada.

I will do my best to keep you updated with photos and videos and give you a sense of what it’s like on such a big journey. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you from the trail.
