Day 53

  Day 53 Perfect sun on camp to greet the morning.  Beautiful creek big crossing, which called for shoes and socks off followed by an amazing swim in the river. Th hiking was mostly  Down hill with no big climb today. We had a chat with the  Ranger who lives in the wilderness full time for 3 months.  River crossing swim and  Body surf at lunch with an  Uphill finish.  Perfect sandy camp  VVR tomorrow

Day 52 What to say about today. Just when you think the high can’t get any better it just steps up again to a new level stop We left camp just after seven and tighten down further until we turned towards Muir Pass. There was over 10 miles uphill to reach the top of the new pass. This was through some of the most beautiful forests and along the most amazing creeks and waterfalls I have ever seen. We made stops for second breakfast along the way. We pushed to reach the top for a late lunch. On the way up the pass continued to reveal itself and show you vast Coreys with glacial Lakes. We were hiking across snow for some of the time as there’s been much more snow in this valley then in the valleys we had hiked through up until now. We finally reached the John Muir hut at the top of your purse. The views were epic with snow and check it peaks as far as you could see in every direction. We took an extended break at the top and then hiked another 4 miles down to The perfect campsite with view...

Day 50

  Day 50 Well they 50 started with a really strong frost over everything sleeping bag backpack and clothes. I was warm in my sleeping bag but that ice took a long time to melt and then dry out. So we were very late getting started and didn’t hit the trail until about 8:30 AM. Also trail we hit Glen pass straight away which is one of the big passes in this year. The extra weight of food and they canister really made some selves felt close this pet. On the way down we collected snowballs so we could throw them in Rockhopper when we got lakes. Yeah The Ray likes in the valley were amazing and we stopped for second breakfast to just admire the beauty of the lake system. It truly was beautiful hiking downhill from Glen pass for many many miles. We found a spot next to the creek where the water was gushing down giant waterslides. We decided to swim in the pools below and I had a very refreshing break with the game the most incredible views. After lunch and swimming stop we had another pe...
